What does a cashier and Staples Binder have in common?

Ok I had to do a quick grocery trip since I havent really gone shopping for the fresh items. I didn’t do to bad I paid just under $80 and save $46 but I got 5 nice toothbrushes for just over a $1 each reg. price $4.99. They were clearanced and I wish I had more coupons.

Ok lets get onto what a cashier and my Staples Better Binder I am reviewing have in common.

It all starts a few months ago when TLC Extreme Couponing started the official first season. Everyone was getting on the band wagon of coupons and because of the show stores started being very particular about all sorts of coupons.

This was when Minute Maid put out a B1G1 Free printable coupon. I print all my coupons off my affiliates so I know they are all valid coupons. Anyway I was told by this particular cashier that she could not accept the coupon because the store had ecently changed their policy and do not accept coupons for free items. I was upset and asked for the updated coupon policy. They werent able to provide it but gave me contact information to call about the change. That was fine I didn’t get my juice and then the cashier said to me, people like you committing coupon fruad is making the store lose money. I was really upset and pondered all the way home that I would not shop at that store again. I even went to lengths to make sure my coupon was legit so I stumbled upon this site so if you ever want to know if your printable coupon is legit you can by using this site. http://www.couponsinc.com/crc/index.asp

Well that was foolish of me because it was only one incident and I really do love that store. My coupon organization is based of the layout of that store. Anyway through all my contacts with the regional office and the store owner I was able to use me coupons get a $5 gift card and continually get apologies from the cashier and the store owner.

That grocery store is still my favorite to shop at!

Ok now lets forward to today July 8th, 2011. I had to go get a few items but I always take my binder of coupons. I am currently reviewing a Staples Better Binder who will be one of the sponsors for the Bargain Network Back To School Giveaway. It is a great binder even though the one I am trying out is only a 1inch I really like it.

When I was at this store today I went to self check out like I normally do so I don’t hold up lines and I can count my items and make sure I have my coupons accounted for. Its more relaxing for me and I dont feel rushed.

Anyway the cashier from a few months ago who accused me of coupon fruad was the self checkout cashier. They were stocking and cleaning since this was pretty earlier and not much costumers in the store at all.

I finished up my items and went to push the coupons button and she was already there to take them. My bill was over $100 and I had planned spending about that much since I hadn’t shopped in awhile. As my coupons came off about $46 came off my total bill. I paid and they commented about how that was a pretty good trip. I said it was considering I didn’t have that many coupons.

They then came over to me and asked about what I have my coupons in. They said they have been watching me shop and was really interested in getting into coupons because her hours have been cut due to medical issues.

I was in a bit of a hurry but if you ever stop me to ask about coupons or a deal I will surely take my time and help out. So there I was opening my Moms Saving Money Krazy Qupon Purse cover with my Stapels Better Binder telling them who made the cover and telling them the type of binder I was using because I was reviewing it. I showed them that my binder is set up for the store layout starting with produce and ending with medications. They were so impressed that they called over a couple more cashiers and said they really needed to organized like this and asked if I would be willing to hold a coupon class for them. So I invited them to my coupon class on July 16th. If you’d like more information on the coupon class click HERE

So there you have it the cashier who accused me of coupon fraud a few months ago was now asking me to do a coupon class.

I hope this inspire you to continue to keep couponing and still shop at the stores you like even if you have a bad experience once in awhile.

Review: Little Tikes Beach Ball Sprinkler

Need a fun summer toy to play together as a family. The Little Tikes Beach Ball Sprinkler is a great idea and fun for the whole family. The directions to begin are little confusing but once you get it its fine. The water really shoots out well. It was really great to see our kids laugh and
play with the beach ball sprinkler. They were a little unsure of it at first but it was a hot day and a little overcast but it sure felt good once everyone started laughing and having fun. The best part was when my hubby got into the fun and was playing with the kids. This was a lot of fun and I would highly recommend it to any family of little kids and parents that are kids at heart.

Either we got one that has a leak or it may be a defect in the beach ball. We turned off the water to empty the rest of the water from the ball, the water got into the air pocket and can only be removed from the air valve which took a lot of time. I’m not sure we would continue to use it again if the water gets in that air pocket again.

Review: Little Tikes Bubble Blower

Little Tikes Bubble Blower

The Bubble Blower was a lot of fun to begin with. It took the entire container of Bubbles to fill up but didn’t seem like it lasted long. It uses 2 double AA batteries and the ones that came with it last a couple hours. The minimum age on it says 2+ but my daughter who just turned 2 when reviewing it could not understand how to hold it.

The blower was a little on the heavy side for her. My 3 and 4 year old sons also had a hard time with it.
I would recommend the age be bumped up to 3 ½ years. The valve for the bubbles is on the top and easily open and if the blower accidently gets turned over it spills. The toy is a little noisy and leaks if not held straight or slightly up. If the blower is leaned forward it will dispense bubble fluid quickly and makes a big mess. It was a lot of fun if the adults used it to make the bubbles and have the kids play but really hard with multiple 2-4 year olds taking turns and not spilling the bubbles.

Over all it’s a great toy to help blow bubbles and you won’t tire of blowing the bubbles because it does it for you. I recommend this toy for a family affair and it is sure to bring enjoyment. I look forward to the times I can play with my children and the bubble blower.

Product Reviews: MeBands and Oppo Rings

We are now officially in Summer Season now! We have wonderful fun activities lined up for our children and to help it be even better Imperial Toy has been providing us with awesome toys to help us parents keep our littles one enjoying the summer.

MeBands

I am not much for bracelets or any type of jewelry but I thought I give theses a try. MeBands are colorful and fun bracelents to wear. There are many different colors and sayings on them. I liked how elastic they are but they were a little tight. I’m sure over time they will stretch but I’m concerned those who have larger then the average arm will be uncomfortable. I was afraid they would pull the hair on my arm and I was right they do pull which creates a light sting. I would have liked them more if they were a little bit thinner. The MeBands seem to be fun for teenagers or preteens but not so much for adults. I recommend them being a filler fun item in Easter Baskets or something to have on hand for those last minute birthday gifts. You can find these at many places such as Walmart available in the toy isle and Walgreens and very inexpesive.

Oppo Rings

I’m certainly not much for rings other than my wedding rings. I was given one Pogo ring that has I heart your BF. At first I thought it meant “I heart your boyfriend” and then after thinking about it a little more I wondered whether it means, “I heart your Best Friend” but that didn’t seem to make much sense to me either. The day an nights were pretty cool but I the colors were bright and I’m not the type of person to wear bright colors on my hands or accessories so the ones I was able to review didn’t match what I was wearing so I guess if I were to get some of my own that would be something I would consider in matching my clothes. They were comfortable but a little tight at first but easy to slide on if wet. Glad they are waterproof!
