Book Review: Chicken Soup for the Soul: Stay at Home Moms

Welcome to Moms Saving Money! If you're new here, you may want to follow on Twitter or fan us on Facebook Thank you for visiting!

I was given Chicken Soup for the Soul: Stay at Home Moms and I was surprised at all the wonderful stories how mothers became Stay at Home Moms.

One lady whom told her family and all her friends in high school and college she would never have kids became pregnant and had her son at age 45. She was already a career writer working mostly from home so it was an easy transaction but still felt she was missing out half of her sons life so they made the decision for her to quit and stay at home full-time.

There was also a mother who didnt realize her son was not gaining weight or doing the normal things a child will develop as picking up his head or sitting up and when a friend suggested something not being right during a camping trip she quickly packed the kids up and their things and went to the doctors first thing Monday morning. She was rushed to the hospital were they called them by name and escorted them upon their arrival. Before I tell you all about this one you will need to read the story yourself but she was reminded by Abraham giving Issac up as a sacrifice but being able to keep him. Her story is very similar.

Another mother had to become Supermom when her husband died of a heart attack at age 48. Her preteen sons need her to be mom and dad which she did a marvelous job being Supermom.

If you are a mother by birth, adoption or any other means whether you are working or stay at home you will enjoy these stories from these moms.
